Target volunteers:
College and Professional Designers

At Inneract Project, we believe volunteering to educate and promote the design industry to Black, Latinx, and underrepresented youth contributes to positive impacts that increase diversity and representation within the design industry, leading to more inclusive and experienced design solutions. By providing mentorship and access to resources, you help create opportunities for these young people they may not have otherwise had.

Your time and efforts are contributing to building the next generation of designers, which is essential for the continued growth and success of the design industry. As a volunteer at Inneract Project, you are contributing to helping improve the economic and social mobility of these youth, which can positively impact their communities and society as a whole.

Road Map to volunteering with Inneract Project

Inneract Project has a volunteer process that ensures the volunteer roles are individuals who are well-suited for the tasks and that volunteers are provided with the necessary support to make the best use of their time with us. We aim to ensure volunteers' responsibilities are clearly defined and recognized to prevent misunderstandings and conflicts.

Our process helps ensure that volunteer efforts are well-coordinated and the volunteers are provided with the resources they need to make a meaningful impact. The volunteer experience must be positive for both the Inneract Project and the volunteers themselves.

  • If your qualifications match our mission and the role, we'll contact you within two weeks of receiving your application.

  • Volunteers have three days to accept or decline a volunteer role. During the three days, volunteers are encouraged to consider several vital factors such as the responsibilities and duties associated with the volunteer role, the time commitment required, the training and support needed, and any other relevant details about Inneract Project.

If a volunteer accepts their role, Inneract Project will provide additional information they need to prepare for their roles, such as training materials, schedules, and instructions for getting started. If they decline, we will reach out to the next available candidate to offer the opportunity

  • All IP Volunteers are required to pass a background check before volunteering. The completion of background checks before volunteering is a crucial step in protecting the safety and security of everyone involved with our organization.

In addition to protecting students, conducting background checks on volunteers also helps to build trust and credibility with parents and guardians.

  • We ask that all volunteers please sign our volunteer term contract.

Inneract Project volunteer agreement: By signing a term contract, volunteers are committing to a specified time with the organization and are agreeing to uphold the obligations outlined in the contract. An agreement provides a clear understanding of the volunteer's role and helps to ensure a successful and productive volunteer experience for both the volunteer and our organization.
